Drawn Arc Weld Studs & Ferrules, Reduced Base Type, Steel
Product Details
Drawn arc stud welding process uses a controlled electric arc process which joins the stud to the base material. This produces a very strong one-sided weld which is vibration proof and resistant to breaking, loosening or weakening. They are typically used for fixing larger diameter fasteners to sheet material which is 2mm thick or greater. The flux ball in the tip of the stud and the use of ceramic ferrules aid the welding process.
